■ Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells can be distinguished on the basis of :
- cell is present in which type of organism
- nuclear membrane
- size
- membrane bound organelles
- chromosome
- DNA arrangement
- process of cell division
- ribosomal size.

☁️Prokaryotic cell:
- Prokaryotic cells are unicellular ( an organism that has only one single cell )
- Well defined nuclear membrane is absent
- The size of prokaryotic cells is 1-10 μm
- Prokaryotes contain a single, double-stranded circular chromosome.
- Example- Bacteria, blue green algae.
☁️Eukaryotic cell:
- Eukaryotic cells are present in both unicellular and multicellular organisms
- Well define nuclear membrane is present.
- The size of eukaryotic cells is 5-100 µm
- Eukaryotes contain double-stranded linear DNA molecules packaged into chromosomes.
- Example :- plant cells, Meristematic cells, Bone cells.
