You go outside and determine that the north celestial pole star (Polaris) is 30 degrees above your northern horizon. So, what is your latitude

Answer:

It remains fixed hour after hour, night after night. For example if you were on Earth and saw Polaris at zenith, you would be located at the North pole. If you saw Polaris at 30 degrees above the horizon, your latitude would be 30 degrees north.

I hope it's helpful
