the tens digit of a two digit number is 5 greater than the ones digit.If you subtract twice the reversed number from the original number,the result is a fourth of the original number.Find the original number.

Explanation:

x = ones digit (x+5) = tens digit original number = 10(x+5) + x

10(x+5) + x - 2[ 10(x) + (x+5) ] = [ 10(x+5) + x ] / 4 <===given.... solve for x

10x + 50 + x - 2( 11x +5) = (11x + 50) / 4

-11x +40 = (11x + 50) /4

-44x + 160 = 11x + 50

55x =110

x = 2 then the number is 72
