Harry saw a black cat cross his path for the tenth time that day, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. He had heard all his life that seeing a black cat was bad luck, and now he had seen one ten times in a single day.

He tried to shake off the feeling and continue on his way, but his mind kept going back to the black cat. He wondered if it was following him, if it had some kind of sinister purpose. He couldn't help but feel paranoid.

As he walked down the street, lost in thought, he didn't notice the car that was headed straight for him. It wasn't until the screeching of tires jolted him back to reality that he realized what was happening.

Harry stumbled backward, narrowly avoiding the car as it sped past him. He was shaken, but unharmed. And then he saw it: the black cat, sitting on a nearby fence, looking at him with its bright green eyes.

For a moment, Harry felt a sense of gratitude. Was the black cat watching over him, protecting him from harm? But then he remembered all the times he had seen the cat that day, and his sense of unease returned.

He decided to walk a different route home, just to be safe. But as he turned the corner, he saw the black cat again, sitting in the middle of the sidewalk.

Harry froze, unsure of what to do. He didn't want to walk past the cat and risk encountering more bad luck, but he also didn't want to turn back and risk encountering the car again.

As he stood there, paralyzed, the black cat got up and started walking away. Harry watched it go, feeling a strange mix of relief and confusion.

He never saw the black cat again, but he couldn't shake the feeling that it had been trying to tell him something. Maybe it was a warning, or maybe it was a message of some kind. Either way, Harry couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if he hadn't seen the black cat that day.
