d = kt² ← k is the constant of proportionality

to find k use the condition d = 75 when t is 2 , then

75 = k × 2² = 4k ( divide both sides by 4 )

18.75 = k

d = 18.75t² ← equation of proportionality

when t = 6 seconds, then

d = 18.75 × 6² = 18.75 × 36 = 675 feet
