The perimeter of a rectangle is 36 feet. The length is 2 less than 3 times the width. What is the length? What is the width?

Width = x
Length = 3x-2

(3x-2)*2+2x= 36
6x-4+2x = 36
8x-4 = 36
8x/8 = 40/8
x = 5

Width = 5
Length = 3*5-2 = 13
