The biggest historical event that influenced the French Revolution was the American revolution. Also there were many food shortages in France at the time which didn’t help the royal family in anyway shape or form many people would be dead in the streets due to starvation. People were enlightened by the idea of the people running the country similar to Americas policy’s.
