First expand brackets

= -8z + 2 - 15 = 4z

plus 8z on each side

= 2-15 = 12z

work out 2-15

-13 = 12z

divide each side by 12

-1.083 =

Answer:

-8(z+2)-15=4z

collect like terms

(z+2)+4z=+8-15

(z+2)4z= -8

2z+4z=-8

6z=-8 divide both by the co efficient of z

6\6z=-8/6

6cancel 6=8divide 6

z=1.2
