Your school is planning a field trip to the zoo there are two different bus companies that the school can use. Bus company A has a 25$ rental free plus $8 for each student. Bus company B has a 95$ rental free plus $6 for each student. How many students will need to go in order for the bus to cost the same from both companies.

Answer:

Explanation:

Let's assume the number of students needed for the bus cost to be the same from both companies is represented by 'x'.

For Bus company A:

Total cost = $25 (rental fee) + $8 (per student) * x (number of students)

For Bus company B:

Total cost = $95 (rental fee) + $6 (per student) * x (number of students)

To find the number of students needed for the costs to be equal, we can set up the equation:

$25 + $8x = $95 + $6x

Simplifying the equation:

$8x - $6x = $95 - $25

$2x = $70

Dividing both sides by 2:

x = $70 / $2

x = 35

Therefore, 35 students will need to go on the field trip for the bus cost to be the same for both companies.
