Answer:

2

Explanation:

1/2(n-4) - 3 = 3 - (2n+3) Distribute the 1/2 and the -1

1/2n - 2 - 3 = 3 -2n -3 Combine like terms

1/2n -5 = -2n Add 2n to both sides

2 1/2n - 5 = 0 Add 5 to both sides

2 1/2n = 5

(5)/(2) n = 5 Multiply both sides by
(2)/(5)

((2)/(5))
((5)/(2))n =
((2)/(5))
((5)/(1))

n = 2

Check:

1/2(n-4) -3 = 3 - (2n + 3)

1/2 (2 -4) - 3 = 3 - (2(2) + 3)

1/2(-2) - 3 = 3 - (4 + 3)

-1 - 3 = 3 - 7

-4 = -4
