Complementary/Supplementary Angles

1. Find the measure of the missing angles. If m∠B = 87° and ∠A and ∠B are supplementary, what is m∠A?

2. Use algebra to help find the missing angle.

Angle ABC and FGH are supplementary. If m∠ABC = 2x + 16 and m∠FGH = 3x + 12, find the value of x and then the measure of each angle.

3. Angles Q and R are complementary. Find m∠R if m∠Q = 24°.

4. The measures of angles A and B are equal and complementary. What is the measure of each angle?

5. Find m∠J if m∠K = 29° and ∠J and ∠K are supplementary.

6. ALGEBRA Angles G and H are complementary. If m∠G = 3x + 6 and m∠H = 2x -11, what is the measure of each angle?

use the definition of supplementary angles and complementary angles to solve these questions:

supplementary angles: two angles that add up to 180 degrees

complementary angles: two angles that add up to 90 degrees

1. 93 degrees

2. 30.4 degrees

3. 66 degrees

4. 45 degrees

5. 151 degrees

6. m<g=63, m<h=27

1. The answer is 93 degrees and that’s 180-87
2.x=30,4 because (180-28)/5 and the value of 3. 90-24 which is 66
4.45 because 90/2
5.180-29=151 degrees
6.59,8 is mHope it helped !!
