It is grammatically correct

  • Oppenheimer's quote ,"I am become death" is grammatically correct according to old English wherein,"has" can be replaced by ,"be" and it's form hence ,"I have become death" would be quoted as ,"I am become death".
  • In Bhagwad-Gita, Lord Shiva closely resembled ,"death" with ,"time", which destroys everything with itself.
  • Oppenheimer quoted the very line to describe the havoc caused after the first nuclear explosion referring his invention as destructive and therefore,he compared it with time(death),the destroyer of worlds .
