First isolate x in the second equation.
X=5-2y
Then substitute the value of x into the first equation
2(5-2y)-4y=10
10-4y-4y=10
-8y=0
Y= 0
Then substitute what the value of y into either equation to solve tor x
X+2(0)=5
X=5
(x,y) =(5,0)
