Explanation:

Given from A to B and B to C, Vel:

  • 20m/s
  • 30 m/s(At B)
  • 45 m/s

Two show: t1/t2 = 2/3

Since acceleration is constant,

30-20/t1 = acc_1 = 10/t1

acc_2 = 45-30 / t2 = 15/t2

but, acc1 = acc2(Acceleration is constant)

So 15/t2 = 10/t1 => 2/3 = t1/t2 by cross multiplication.

Proved.

Given, total time from a to c: 50s

So A to C = > acc = 45-20/50 = 25/50 = 0.5m/s²

So A to B = > 0.5 = 10/t1

=> t = 20s

From B toC, Time = 50-20 = 30 s

To find, S from A to B.

We know S =avg. vel * time

avg vel from a to b = 30+20/2 = 25 m/s

So S = 25* 20 = 500 m = 0.5km.
