(c) In an isosceles triangle, the base angles are equal, the vertex angle is 50°. What are the base angles?​

A triangles angles always equal 180 no matter what the triangle is and what it’s shape is. Let’s say x is the angle for one base angle. That means 2x is the value for both the base angles combined. (It’s double because the base angles are the same). 2x+50=180 has to be true because the base angles plus the vertex angle has to be 180. Now we solve for x.

2x+50=180

Subtract 50 from both sides
2x=130

Divide both sides by 2
X=65.
This means the base angles are 65 degrees each
