Write a journal entry about what this means for the future of Texas (how do you feel about it? what do you think this means for Texas? what should Texas do as an independent Republic?).

Texas, with the help of America just took out Santa Anna, this is great news, Mexico's iron grip on us has finally ended, and America might even accept us into the union. If they don't, we can/will always just make pur own country based on the freedoms and values of America.
