37.55 meters is the correct answer.

Explanation: I took the test

SO,

for the semi circle = d=10, 10*pi=31.4. Now divide by 2 because its a semi circle = 15.7

2+2+5+5=14

10*pi/4(we divide by 4 because its a quarter now) =7.85 (and we still use 10 because it was original diameter)

15.7+14=29.7+7.85 = 37.55

Answer:

37.55 m

Explanation:

Solution:

Given:

The figure consists of a rectangle, a semicircle, and a quarter circle.

To find:

Total perimeter:

Solution:

In semi circle's part:

The perimeter of the semi-circle = 2π r

here

π = 3.14 and diameter = 10m

therefore, radius(r) = 10/2 = 5m

substituting value.

The perimeter of the semi-circle = 3.14*5=15.7 m

Since the perimeter of a semicircle does not include the perimeter of the diameter.

Included perimeter = 15.7m

Now,

\hrulefill

In the rectangle part.

we include a perimeter of CD=2m, AB=2m and CE=5m

included perimeter = 2+2+5=9 m

\hrulefill

Again,

The perimeter of the quarter circle =
(1)/(2) \pi r

here

π = 3.14 and diameter = 10m

therefore, radius(r)=5 m

substituting value.

The perimeter of the semi-circle =
(1)/(2)*3.14*5 = 7.85

the perimeter of a semicircle does not include the perimeter of the diameter. here EF(5m) is also included.

included perimeter = 7.85+5=12.85 m

Now,

Total perimeter = 15.7+9+12.85 =37.55m

Therefore, the Perimeter of the figure is 37.55 m

This figure consists of a rectangle, a semicircle, and a quarter circle. What is the-example-1
