You recently purchased a USB audio headset and connected it to a USB port on your Windows system. The headset includes a microphone that can be used to record audio. However, when you launch your audio recording program, no audio is recorded. You need to reconfigure the system to use the headset mic instead of the built-in mic.

click the tab you would use in the Sound Properties window to do this

Answer: For Windows 10/11 select the Windows button, navigate to settings > system > and ensure the microphone is being seen or is selected.

You can also achieve this by selecting the Windows button and searching "sound" and following the process listed above.

You can also achieve this by selecting the Audio icon in the bottom right of your task bar > right-clicking the speaker icon > sound settings

I hope this helps!
