Let’s assume that the x

-intercept and y
-intercept of the graph of f
are −4
and 6
respectively. Now, if the graph of g
is a vertical shrink of f
by a factor of 1/3

Answer:

-4.

Explanation:

y = g' (x) be the graph of g(x) after it's shrunk vertically by a factor of 1/3.

Then g'(x) = 1/3 × g(x).

So its Y intercept becomes now 1/3 × 6 = 2.

Its X-intercept remains the same at -4. The graph was shrunk vertically and not along the X-direction.
