Can someone help with all of these and show the steps as well ^^ it’s solving systems by combination/elimination

y = 2 , x = 0

Explanation:

1.

2x -y = -2 (a)

x + y = 2

x = 2 - y (b)

Now sub (b) into (a)

2(2-y) - y = -2

4 - 2y -y = -2

-3y = -4 - 2

3y = 6

y = 2

Sub y value back into (b)

x = 2 - (2)

x = 0

As for the second one I am not too sure because even if u were to equate the equations, ie:

2x + y -5 = 2x + y + 5

u get 5 = -5 ?

which is untrue so I am not too sure, sorry :(
