Answer: HUAC was created to investigate any alleged disloyalty throughout any organization people etc that were thought to have connections to communist ideals. Hollywood Ten is one of these organizations that is thought to have some communist ties and they would refuse to answer to the HUAC. Hollywood affected the cold war beliefs of many Americans because they would put out films that reflected the conflicts between the Soviets and America. Although when it comes to the HUAC they mostly posed huge threats because, during the conflicts between the Soviets and Americans, the HUAC was attempting to investigate heavily which led to Hollywood blacklists.
