first step: move 7 on other side (it needs to become negative)
4=7-3x
-7+4=3x

second step: add -7 with 4 (it equals -3)
-7+4=-3x
-3 = -3x
third step: divide -3x from -3 (-3/-3 = 1)

ANSWER IS 1

To solve this equation, we can isolate the variable by subtracting 7 on both sides:

4 - 7 = 7 - 7 - 3x
-3 = -3x

Lastly, we divide by the coefficient (-3):

-3 / -3 = 1

Hence, x = 1.
