When performing two-rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation on a child, the rescuers should perform 15 compressions with a depth of 1.5-to-2 inches and give 2 high-quality breaths with the child's head tilted and chin lifted to open the airway, nostrils pinched closed to create a seal, and chest rising to confirm delivery of the breath.

This ratio increases to 30:2 if there is only one rescuer, however.
