Answer:
I belong to many communities all at once. First of all is my family, where I am a husband and father, then my work community where I am an employee, and colleague, then my church community where I do many different roles in ministry and as a member of a new and growing congregation.
Community is not something I am conscious of, rather it is somewhere I belong. A group of people with whom I feel comfortable, and who accept me as I am, without putting pressure on me to change. Community is what supports me and helps me grow as a person.
As human beings being part of a community is vital to our health and well being. Without relationship we are not complete. Relationship is what we are made for. And community is where we live our lives.
