Since it has a hypotenuse, it is a right triangle

use pythagorean theorem to find the other leg

10 ^2 = x ^2 + 5 ^2

x = sqrt (75)

Triangle Area = 1/2 base * height

or area = 1/2 * leg1 * leg2

= 1/2 * 5 * sqrt 75 = 21.7 units ^2
