Answer:

15 and 25

Explanation:

the ratio of the 2 numbers is 3 : 5 = 3x : 5x ( x is a multiplier )

increasing both by 10 , gives ratio

3x + 10 : 5x + 10 = 5 : 7

expressing in fractional form , that is

(3x+10)/(5x+10) =
(5)/(7) ( cross- multiply )

5(5x + 10) = 7(3x + 10) ← distribute parenthesis

25x + 50 = 21x + 70 ( subtract 21x from both sides )

4x + 50 = 70 ( subtract 50 from both sides )

4x = 20 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 5

Then original numbers are

3x = 3 × 5 = 15

5x = 5 × 5 = 25
