-0.25x + 1.3 = -0.55x - 0.2
-0.25+0.55x = -0.2 -1.3
0.3x = -1.5
x = -1.5 by 0.3
x = -5

Correct answer is x = -5

Answer: X = -5

Explanation:

We're given the equation: -0.25 x + 1.3 = -0.55 x - 0.2 This type of equation has to be simplified where x is by itself.

1. Add .55 to both sides, and you're left with 0.3x + 1.3 = -0.2.

2. After that, subtract 1.3 from both sides. You should be left with 0.3x = -1.5

3. Lastly, divide both sides by 0.3 and effectively do -1.5/0.3 to get your answer of... X = -5!
