When discussing mean and/or median, the “mode” usually refers to the most frequently occurring value in the data set. For instance, we can take the following data set:
1, 2, 2, 4, 3, 6, 5, 2, 3
In this set, it’s noticeable that the number 2 appears the most often. Therefore, 2 is the mode.
