Find the area and the circumference of a circle with radius 5 ft

C = 31.42

Remember this rhyme, to help you save time!

*Pi - R - Squared sounds like Area to me and when I need to find Circumference I just use Pi D*

Area = πr²

Circumference = πd

Now let's solve it!

Area = π × 5²

Area = 25π

(type into the calculator)

Area = 78.54

Circumference = πD

Remember D is the diameter and the diameter is double the radius!

The radius is 5 and when we double it, it becomes 10!

Let's use 10 in our equation to solve

Circumference = π × 10

(type into the calculator)

Circumference = 31.42
