Study idea: let's assume that I want to compare two groups of students on their reading ability after some of them have been given an instructional program. According to the design used, the students of the first group should have a performance lower than that shown by the students of second group.

1-What is the independent variable?
2-What is the dependen variable ?
3-Type of analysis you would use to test the hypothesis

1- The independent variable in this study would be the instructional program that is given to one group of students.
2- The dependent variable in this study would be the reading ability of the students in both groups, which is measured after the instructional program.
3- To test the hypothesis that the students who received the instructional program perform better in reading ability compared to the other group, you can use a statistical analysis called an independent samples t-test. This test compares the means of two independent groups to determine if there is a significant difference between them.
