Answer:

...

x+3y=15

4x+2y=30

we substitute x in the first equation: x=15-3y

x is replaced in the other equation: 4(15-3y)+2y=30

60-12 years + 2 years = 30

-10 years = 30-60

-10 years=-30

y = 3

on calculation x:

x+3y=15

x+3*3=15

x= 15-9

x = 6

solution to the system of equations (6,3)
