The sum of three numbers is even. If the first number is odd, what can be said about the other two?

Answer:

One number has to be odd and the other even.

Explanation:

For example, if the first number is 11. If I add two additional odd number like 11 and 11, my final answer would be 33 which is odd number.

If I added two even number to 11 like 10 and 10, my answer would be 31 which is an odd number.

If I added a odd and a negative number to 11 like 11 and 10, my answer would be 32 which is even.
