Answer: 16

Explanation:

Firstly, we know that we are given a value of a=8 -----(1)
Also we are given b=4 ------(2)

Now, the expression given is (3b-a)^2

So, if we replace a and b with their given values, we get
=(3*4 - 8)^2
Now, by applying basic BODMAS rules, we get
=(12-8)^2
=4^2

=16

Expressions

Substitute the value of each variable.

(3b - a)²

(3 * 4 - 8)²

(12 - 8)²

16

∴ the expression is equal to 16.
