Equations

Substitute the values into y = mx + c. 9 is our slope, and (6,3) is our point.

y = 9x + c

3 = 9(6) + c

3 = 54 + c

3 - 54 = c

-51 = c

The equation has turned out to be y = 9x - 51

Answer:

y = 9x - 51

Explanation:

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

here m = 9 , then

y = 9x + c ← is the partial equation

to find c substitute (6, 3 ) into the partial equation

3 = 9(6) + c = 54 + c ( subtract 54 from both sides )

- 51 = c

y = 9x - 51 ← equation of line
