Answer:

(-1/3, 1/2)

Explanation:

9x + 10y = 2 → multiply by 15 135x + 150y = 30

15x + 18y = 4 → multiply by -9 -135x - 162y = -36

-12y = -6 Divide both sides by -12

y = 1/2

To find x plug in 1/2 for y into either of the two original equations

9x + 10 y = 2

9x + 10(1/2) = 2

9x + 5 = 2 Subtract 5 from both sides

9x = -3 Divide both sides by 9

x = -1/3
