The area of a garclen is 160m^(2). Suppose the length of the garden is 3m more than twixc in width. What is the length of the garden?

Length of garden = 19.45 m

Explanation:

Let the width of graden be x

then length of garden = 2x + 3

Area = Length x width = x (2x +3 ) = 160

=> 2x^2 + 3x -160 = 0

solving for this quadratic equation

x1 = (-3 + sqrt(1289)/(2*2) other will be negative solution so lets discard it.

picking positive value x = ~8.225, so length = ~ 19.45m
