Answer:

12
km^2

Explanation:

To find the volume of a triangular prism as pictured so, a formula exists to find as so;

  • V= area of triangular base
    *h

where the area of the triangular base is
A=(1)/(2) bh and h = height of the triangular prism.

In order to solve this problem, those variables are needed.

  • To find the area of the triangular base, the base (3km) and height (4km) of the triangle are needed.

A=(1)/(2) bh

A=(1)/(2) (4)(3)

A=6 km^2

  • To find the height of the triangular prism, it is how tall it stands with the base at the bottom, which is 2km.

Since we have these values, we are able to plug it into the formula.

  • V= area of triangular base
    *h

  • V=6*2

  • V=12km^2
