In this case, c is the hypotenuse which is the longest side which is 15

If c squared is the same number as a squared plus b squared, the triangle is a right triangle.

If c squared is a bigger number than a squared plus b squared, the triangle is an obtuse triangle.

If c squared is a smaller number than a squared plus b squared, the triangle is an acute triangle.


C squared is the hypotenuse squared so 15 squared is 225

A squared is 10 times 10 which is 100
B squared is 10 times 10 which is 100

A squared plus B squared is 100+100

So A squared plus B squared is 200

C squared is 225 so it is bigger than 200

Because C squared is > A squared + B squared, this is an obtuse triangle
