First, let's calculate the molar mass of FeO. That's 56 (Fe) + 16 (O) = 72 g/mol. Now, from the balanced equation, 1 mol of FeO gives 1 mol of Fe.

So, 72 g of FeO gives 56 g of Fe.

To produce 5.6 g of Fe, you need (5.6/56) * 72 = 7.2 g of pure FeO.

But the FeO you have is only 40% pure. So, you need 7.2 / 0.40 = 18 g of the 40% pure FeO to produce 5.6 g of Fe.

You welcome!
