Explanation:

Given equation

10 = 4 + 3 × (t + 2)

Subtract 4 on both sides

10 - 4 = 4 + 3 × (t + 2) - 4

6 = 3 × (t + 2)

Divide 3 on both sides

6 ÷ 3 = 3 × (t + 2) ÷ 3

2 = t + 2

Subtract 2 on both sides

2 - 2 = t + 2 - 2
