y=-2x+1


4x+2y=-1

The first equation is set up in slope-intercept form but the second equation isn't. So first set up the second equation in slope-intercept form.


4x+2y=-1

Divide everything by 2


2x+y=-(1)/(2)

Solve for y

Both equations have the same slope but different y-intercepts which means that there is no solution
