Which part of the story shows how a character’s action influences the plot?

Ever since she was a little girl, Tina was afraid of lizards. However, Tina’s mother always told her that she should not judge a book by its cover. Tina was quite surprised when she discovered that her new neighbor, Mr. Pamuk, was a herpetologist who studied lizards. Gathering all her courage, Tina went over to Mr. Pamuk’s house, determined to know exactly what a herpetologist did. Mr. Pamuk, a patient and gentle man, sensed Tina’s fear of lizards almost immediately. As someone who loved lizards and snakes, he tried his best to take away Tina’s fear. He explained to her that a herpetologist studies not only lizards but snakes, turtles, crocodiles, and even frogs. He told her that people jump to conclusions about reptiles without knowing the facts. Tina listened with amazement as he told her about a lizard that could change the color of its skin. Some lizards could even walk on water. Slowly, Tina began to forget her fear of lizards. In fact, she asked Mr. Pamuk if he would show her his pet iguana. Mr. Pamuk was happy to oblige.

The part of the story that shows the influence of a character's actions is Tina's interaction with Mr. Pamuk.

The plot has been influenced by the actions of two characters, Tina and Mr. Pamuk. It was Tina's courage and determination to face her fear and explore what lies beyond her fear, that unlocks a new world to her.

Mr. Pamuk understood little Tina's fears. As a herpetologist, he was familiar with lizards. And his love for both reptiles and humans leads him to introduce Tina to lizards, snakes, turtles, crocodiles, and frogs.

Tina was introduced to the amazing characteristics of lizards. About the way, they can change the color of their skin. To Tina's surprise, she gets to know that lizards can even walk on water.

These facts about reptiles awed Tina, and she gets curious to know more. She asks Mr. Pamuk to show her his pet iguana. Mr. Pamuk is too glad at the request and immediately accepts.
