The speech for the motion Inter-school sports and games promote friendship and unity among students goes this way: I am y/n and I strongly believe that Inter-school sports and games promote friendship and unity among students.

Inter school sports is a great way for young minds to compete in a healthy environment, live up to their full potential whilst engaging in communication with their peers. It is the forefront for excellence as well as team and individual wellness.

Coming to the point of friendship and unity, sports in itself is a great way to promote unity and teamwork in a child. Engaging in football, cricket, even kabaddi, kho kho, rugby - the team centered sports certainly help the process. But even individual sport activities like badminton, tennis build up a connection with the opponent.

Inter school sports are a great way for children to meet different people of their age and form bonds, which in turn, nurture the child and help in overall development.

For the Motion:

Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed judges and fellow debaters, I am here today to speak in favor of the motion that inter-school sports and games promote friendship and unity among students.

Sports and games have long been a unifying force in our society. They bring people together from all walks of life, regardless of their background, religion or ethnicity. In the context of schools, sports and games have the power to unite students in a way that few other activities can.

Participating in sports and games allows students to develop a sense of camaraderie and teamwork. When students work together towards a common goal, they learn to trust and rely on one another. They learn to communicate effectively, to resolve conflicts and to support each other through both success and failure. These are all valuable life skills that will serve them well in the future.

Furthermore, sports and games provide a healthy outlet for students to release their energy and stress. They provide an opportunity for students to take a break from their academic pursuits and focus on their physical and mental wellbeing. This can lead to improved academic performance, as students who are physically and mentally healthy are better equipped to learn and succeed in school.

In conclusion, inter-school sports and games promote friendship and unity among students. They allow students to develop important life skills, provide a healthy outlet for stress and contribute to overall wellbeing. I strongly urge you to support the motion. Thank you.

Against the Motion:

Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed judges and fellow debaters, I am here today to speak against the motion that inter-school sports and games promote friendship and unity among students.

While it is true that sports and games can bring people together, they can also create divisions and rivalries. When students compete against one another, it can create a sense of animosity and resentment. This can be particularly true in the context of inter-school sports, where the stakes are often higher and the pressure to win is greater.

Furthermore, sports and games can be exclusionary. Not all students are interested in or able to participate in sports and games. This can lead to feelings of alienation and isolation among those who do not participate. It can also create a sense of elitism and superiority among those who do participate, which can further divide students.

Finally, while sports and games can be a healthy outlet for stress and energy, they can also be physically and mentally taxing. Injuries are common in sports, and the pressure to perform can lead to stress and anxiety. For some students, sports
