first isolate 2x by adding 5.

19 _< 2x _< 32

then divide by 2 to get x.

19/2 _< x _< 16.

the range is x: [19/2, 16]

hope this helps!

In order to solve for this kind of inequality, we have to isolate x-term. First, add both sides by 5:

\displaystyle{14+5 \leq 2x -5 + 5 \leq 27+5}\\\\\displaystyle{19 \leq 2x \leq 32}

Isolating x-term, divide all sides by 2:

\displaystyle{(19)/(2) \leq (2x)/(2) \leq (32)/(2)}\\\\\displaystyle{(19)/(2) \leq x \leq 16}

x-term is now isolated. Therefore, the interval is:

\displaystyle{(19)/(2) \leq x \leq 16}

or

\displaystyle{9.5 \leq x \leq 16}
