Answer:
Hie..! Here's the answer
The antagonist in "There Will Come Soft Rains" is humanity. Humanity is the antagonist because they are responsible for their own downfall. In Bradbury post-apocalyptic world where only machines have survived, there are only machines because humans destroyed their species. Humans destroyed their species because of nuclear weapons. Although the total destruction of humans was set in the future, Bradbury was commenting on the reality of the world five years after America had used atomic bombs on Japan in WWII. Although the war had ended, the Cold War had begun and the morality behind the use of technology had still not caught up to society. Bradbury used the short story as a warning about what humans are capable of if they loose their humanity in the quest for technology.
