Answer: a noun is specific when it is describing something or somethings.

noun - a word (other than a pronoun) used to identify any of a class of people, places, or things (common noun), or to name a particular one of these (proper noun).

Explanation: Pat the Egyptian cat, was staring out the window all day until the mail man stopped by. Is much more specific than Pat the cat sat at the window.

Examples: Australia, Beas, Girl etc.

Specfic Noun or Personal Noun –

The words that is used to identify the name of a particular person, living being, particular object, particular place is known are called specific nouns, such as :- Marie curie, London, Paris, Titanic, etc.
