if f(x) when x=5 is 29 and g(x) when x=5 is 13 the (f-g) (5) Is 29-13. Hope that makes sense.

(f – g)(5)

By function properly

(f – g)(5) = f(5) - g(5)

(f – g)(5) = 29 - 13

⇒ 16
