Writing a Cover Letter

Having read in the lecture notes about a cover letter and steps in writing one, you will write a cover letter that would go along with the application form to the institution. Remember, you are only to write a cover letter. It should be like a business letter and it should be free of spelling, punctuation and grammar errors, run - on sentences and comma splices.

The following vacancy was advertised in the Amandala Newspaper:

Vacancy at St. John’s College

Applications are invited to fill the following teaching positions at the high school division:

1. Integrated Science (Full-Time)

Qualifications for Teacher:

Minimum of Associate's Degree in the relevant field
Formal teacher-training and/or years of teaching experience in the subject area
Commitment to the mission of St. John’s College as a Catholic, Jesuit, Belizean institution.
Successful applicants will be expected to participate in orientation programmes and SJC’s continuous in-service training in relation to the subject area and the goals of the College.

Requirements
