So here you need to use trigonometry. The side opposite the right angle is known as the hypotenuse, (because it’s the longest), the side of 4.1 is the opposite because it’s opposite the 43 degree angle and therefore x is the adjacent (it’s next to the right angle and the 43 degree angle). So because you know the opposite and want to find the adjacent you would use the tan function. Where, tan (angle) is the opposite / adjacent. So you would need to rearrange the equation to get the adjacent by itself so it would be: 4.1/ tan(30) when you type this in a calculator you get 7.1014 which is 7.10 to the nearest 10th.
