Answer:

Area = 34 - 11√10

Perimeter = 22-4√10

Explanation:

Let's do perimeter first bc it's easier.. To find perimeter add up all four sides.

P = (3-√10 )+ (8-√10)+(3-√10 )+ (8-√10)

add all the 3s and 8s.

P = 22-√10-√10-√10-√10

combine all the √10s

P = 22 - 4√10

Area is just length × width. If you know how to multiply binomials (like (x-3)(x-7) for example) you will do it the same way. You may have learned an area model or an algorithm called FOIL. You can use these methods. Basically it's just an amped up version of distributive property. To find the area, it takes four multiplications :

A = length × width

= (8-√10)(3-√10)

= 24 - 8√10 - 3√10 + 10

= 34 - 11√10
